The Aleph Institute is hosted its 10th annual symposium on May 19th 2019. The topic for this year’s symposium was “Rethinking Punishment”.  The seminar aimed to bring together representatives from all sectors of the criminal justice system and community leaders to discuss systematic issues and recommend changes in delivery of justice and sentencing.

Organizations are encouraged to talk and discuss their goals, current projects, and policy. The symposium will host a wide range of speakers including Judge Joy Flower Conti, U.S. District Court of Western District of Pennsylvania, and Richard Garland, professor of public health practice and head of the Center’s Violence Prevention Project.
