This program seeks to provide Jewish study material for the Jewish men and women who are otherwise separated from the Jewish community and cannot attend study groups or classes. This program offers courses in Torah, Jewish History, Laws of Kosher, prayer, and more.
Please have the prospective student complete the Torah Studies application form. If he or she is not yet a member of Aleph, that person should also complete the Aleph Application form.
More about the Program:
Correspondence is conducted via mail or electronically in the institutions where available. Course material and initial questions are sent directly to the student, and quarterly questions are sent to a proctor, who returns the completed forms directly to us.
In most institutions, the Proctor is the Rabbi (prison staff or contract). If this is not possible, we work with staff at the institution to make facilitate the tests.
There is a nominal cost for the course, however a scholarship is available for those who do not have the resources.
For more information or if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to address them to us.
