Brian Miller

Born in Washington, DC in 1956, he attended Hebrew Academy of Washington through junior high school. After high school he obtained a BA in economics from University of Maryland in College Park.


In the late 80's, Brian became involved in Judaism through Chabad in Columbia, Maryland, his mentors being Rabbi Hillel and Chanie (Rosenblum) Baron. This brought him to Pittsburgh in 2004.


He heard of Aleph Institute and met Rabbi Vogel shortly after moving to Pittsburgh. Rabbi Vogel was interested in What Brian could contribute toward the recovery area of this program, as Brian has experience in the recovery community.


Brian has been involved in facilitating several 12 step meetings being held at Aleph Institute for the past fifteen years. He also hosts Shabbos dinners once a month and leads the Passover seders and other holiday programs throughout the year. 


He has four sons living in 4 different cities in two countries and  has 5 adorable grand daughters.
