Abby Fite Bio Picture.jpg Abby Fite joined the Aleph Institute as  Outreach Specialist in August of 2018. Prior to beginning her position at Aleph, Abby spent 5 years as the Program Coordinator at the LGBT Resource Center at Syracuse University. In this role, she developed and implemented educational programming, cultivated LGBTQ community spaces, and advocated for a safer campus for marginalized students. Abby also has experience with nonprofits. She spent two years as an AmeriCorps member in Rochester, NY, where she designed programming for youth and families, offered individualized support and advocacy, and created community connections and collaborations.

Abby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Vassar College and a Master of Science in Cultural Foundations of Education from Syracuse University. She is passionate about prison reform and abolition, abuse prevention and reduction, and social justice. She believes that love, community, and education have the power to transform people and societies.

Outside of work, Abby enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with her family.
