Hello!  My name is Katy, and I was born and raised in the South Hills, so I am a native Pittsburgher.  I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 2008, and then went on to obtain a degree in public health because I hope to improve continuity of care and access to resources for people in the prison system, as well as those re-entering the community.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, going for walks in Frick Park, and playing with my cat, Riley Ann.  I want to volunteer with the Aleph Institute because I believe that every human being deserves to be treated with dignity and compassion, regardless of their circumstances.  I truly hope that I can further the Aleph Institute’s mission of “No One Alone, No One Forgotten.”
